Firestorm Bagration - 26 June, 1944 - Soviets Attack into Berezino

Berezino is the objective of the first Soviet attack of the day. Both sides have placed their firestorm troops on the battle arrow. These troops will be added to the 1250 pt forces being used in the battle. 

The Soviet firestorm troops are;

3 x T-34/85 with cupolas and tankodesantniki and 5 x SU-76.

For their firestorm troops the Germans have:

A panzer grenadier platoon with 4 half tracks, a pl HQ with panzerfaust and 3 rifle/mg squads. 

The Soviets are fielding a tank company.

The Germans are fielding a panzer company. 

Speaking of fields. As the battle is taking place in Berezino, the firestorm terrain suggestion for woods areas will be used in a slightly modified form. 

The Encounter rules will be used for this scenario.

Firestorm Bagration - 26 June, 1944

As I am using FOW Firestorm Bagration to play a solo campaign, I am combining some of the Firestorm rules and some of the General's Wargame from the Firestorm Bagration rulebook. 

I have decided to try the 26 June campaign as it is shorter. So here it goes. 

4 days ago, a massive Soviet assault was lainched against German Army Group Centre. In many places the Germans were sent reeling by the crushing onslaught of over 2 million soviet troops and 4 thousand tanks. The Germans are now struggling to stabilize the front. 

Turn 1 

Both dice are rolled. A total of 10! There will be 10 battle arrows placed this turn. 

The Soviet commander wins the first initiative role and places a battle arrow from Zhlobin into Berezino. He selects two of his Zhlobin firestorm units (1 x T-34/85 and 1 x SU-76) on the arrow. The German commander places his only available firestorm unit, a panzergrenadier platoon, on the battle arrow to counter the Soviet move. 

The stage is set for a FOW battle. 

Firestorm - Operation Bagration

Setting up a FOW Firestorm Bagration campaign. Going to play the short campaign that starts on 26 June, 1944. 

The campaign map has lots of great detail. 

Firestorm troops will provide the extra punch both sides will need. 

Battle arrows, control markers, turn marker, proxy markers, and, of course, dice are included.
