Canadians Fighting Russians

Canadian M10s break out of their concealed
positions to hit the Russians hard.
The Russians continue their advance across Germany. Having defeated the Nazi regime Stalin has ordered his forces to continue pushing to the west to conquer all of Europe for the Soviet and free it from the shackles of capitalism.

The Canadians set up their defense around the two Russian objectives. The Russians launched an aggressive assault across the whole front. The Canadians, who were surprised by the attack of their erstwhile allies, were in a difficult situation as they would have to wait for reinforcements to arrive.

While they couldn't launch a counterattack the Canadian weren't about to let the Russians walk over them. Canadian Sexton SP artillery had some difficulty zeroing in on the enemy, but their M10s and Shermans took out several Russian tanks. Meanwhile Russian infantry proceeded  to advance.

Canadian reinforcements swarm an objective
 and intense fighting ensures.
The Canadian reinforcements continued to be delayed and they were taking casualties across their whole front. The Canadian armour used their machine guns to slow down the Russian advance. A small Russian recce unit managed to work its way around to contest one of their objectives.

Just when things were looking desperate, Canadian reinforcements finally showed up. They kept moving up and swung around the Russian left flank. This forced the Russian commander to switch much of his force over to defend an objective.

If the Canadian reinforcements had showed up earlier things might have been different, but their delayed appearance meant they couldn't affect the outcome of the battle and the Russians seized their objectives and forced the Canadians back.
